How biotrash saved a farmer a lot of money (VIDEO)
Biological fertilisers bring tangible benefits to farmers by significantly reducing the need for mineral fertilisers, which in turn leads to significant cost savings.
At the „Agrovizija 2024“ exhibition, as soon as we stopped by the „Biodynamics“ stand, we immediately met Valdas, a very humble farmer from the district of Vilkaviskis, with whom we had a chat, and then we found out some incredible good news. Biofertilisers are not just declarations on the EU Green Deal, but real and practical applications and useful farm practices.
„I reduced phosphorus, potassium and nitrogen by about 30%. And I sprayed twice: on both winter and spring wheat „Sapro Forte“ at 0.63 litres per hectare. The effect in the current picture is the same as with the full fertiliser rate. And especially fungicides. I used to spray 3 times all the time before. Now I have sprayed the crop once and it looks better than it did with fungicides," said Valdas, who works 400 hectares.
