The average farm-gate price of milk in Estonia rose by 22.5% in June compared with the same month last year to €507.54 per tonne, the national statistics office has reported.

The average price fell by 1.3 per cent on a monthly basis in June compared to May.

In the first month of summer, a total of 77.9 thousand tonnes of milk were bought – 300 tonnes less than in June 2024.

The average fat content of milk bought last month was 3.8% and the average protein content 3.4%. Both indicators have risen by 0.1 percentage points over the year.
