MZURI planted maize in the ground, and it shot up into the sky! (VIDEO)

This is where we started in the spring, when we sowed maize using a MZURI direct-drill seed drill, applying liquid manure directly beneath the seeds, we are now approaching the home straight. We visited Tomo Skieraus’s farm (Rietavas Municipality) to see how the crops look ahead of the harvest.

Kęstutis Maciulevičius, agronomist at T. Skieraus’s farm, and Veslav Spiridovič, Head of Agricultural Machinery Hire, Services and Sales, and farmer Veslav Spiridovič, discussed the advantages of the „Mzuri“ seed drill and the “Holmer” slurry injector.

“MZURI got off to a good start. I was waiting for it to germinate,” said agronomist K. Maciulevičius. – “When three leaves had emerged, I started calculating when the best time would be to spray for weeds.”

According to him, maize is a tall plant, but even a small weed can kill it. “And I kept waiting for the weeds to emerge, but they never did,” – recalled K. Maciulevičius.  

This happened because the seed was sown directly into the stubble, and the soil around the seed had not been loosened. In this video you will see:
