Milk purchase prices in Estonia increase by 8% year-on-year

The average farm-gate milk price in Estonia last month was 8.3% higher than in November last year at €504.8 per tonne, the national statistics office has reported.

In November, the average milk purchase price decreased by 0.7 percent during the month compared to October.

Purchase volumes increased by 2.4 per cent on the month and decreased by 2.8 per cent on the year to 73.6 thousand tonnes.

The average fat content of milk bought in last month was 4.1% and the average protein content 3.5%. Over the year, the former increased by 0.3 percentage points and the latter by 0.2 percentage points.
