In Estonia, milk purchase prices fell by 8.6% year-on-year.

The average farm-gate price of milk in Estonia last month was 8.6% lower than in January last year, at €465 per tonne, the national statistics office has reported.

Average milk purchase prices fell by 7 percent in January compared to December.

Purchase volumes fell by 18.6 per cent in the month and by 20.2 per cent in the year to 61.8 thousand tonnes.

The average fat content of milk bought last month was 4.1% and the average protein content 3.5%. Over the year, the former has risen by 0.2 percentage points and the latter has remained stable.
