Estonia's milk purchase prices rise by a fifth in a year

The average farm-gate price of milk in Estonia rose by 20.3% to EUR 498.3 per tonne in August compared to the same month last year, the national statistics office has reported.

Average farm-gate milk prices fell by 0.5 per cent during the month of August compared to July.

Purchase volumes increased by 1.4 thousand tonnes year-on-year to 78.5 thousand tonnes.

The average fat content of milk purchased last month was 3.7% and the average protein content 3.3%. Both these indicators are unchanged compared to August 2024.
