Estonia's milk purchase prices rise by almost a fifth in a year
The average farm-gate milk price in Estonia last month was 18.4% higher than in September last year at €503.7 per tonne, the national statistics office has reported.
The average milk purchase price rose by 1.1 per cent in September compared with August.
Purchase volumes fell by 5 per cent in the month and increased by 2.5 per cent year-on-year to 74.6 thousand tonnes.
The average fat content of milk bought last month was 3.9% and the average protein content 3.4%. Over the year, the former has risen by 0.1 percentage points, while the latter is unchanged.
