The most powerful microbio-gas plant in the Baltic States opened, the most efficient manure and slurry management technologies presented (VIDEO)
On Thursday, the most powerful microbiodigestion plant in the Baltic States, „Biolectric“, was inaugurated in the village of Pavabalkšnis in the municipality of Kazlų Rūda, with the participation of the Minister of Agriculture, Ignas Hofmanas, who warmly welcomed the farm of Aidas and Dalia Kairaičis.
Belgian manufacturer „Biolectric“ through its official representative in Lithuania UAB „interAG“ has installed a 74 kw power plant at the Kairaičis farm, which fully satisfies 75% of the farm's demand for electricity and heat.
A. and D. Kairaičis farm is the largest family dairy farm in Lithuania, with over 1 000 cows. On the day of the ceremony, 885 cows were milked. The daily milk yield is 28-29 tonnes per day.
"All you need is the will and the money, and good wishes come true"," Dalia Kairaitienė told the "Agrobitė play" channel when asked how such a large-scale project had been implemented.
Is that all it takes and doesn't it take money? Jokingly, Kairaitienė replied that "that's what banks are for, to help us live and achieve our desires".
Funding for the project has been provided by SEB Bank, and 65% of the funding for all three projects has also come from the European Union. According to Mrs Dalia, the projects have completely solved the slurry and manure management issue once and for all.
"If it wasn't for the EU support, it would be very difficult to implement such projects“, – said Ugnius Stančiauskas, Director of UAB „interAG“, who stressed that it is the fourth installed "Biolectric" biogas plant in Lithuania.
The most efficient manure separation-pasteurisation station „BRU 2000“ from BAUER FAN, as well as the most efficient manure separation system „S855GB“ from BAUER „S855GB“, were also presented at the event.
