How innovation is cleaning up all the manure on farms (VIDEO)
The circular economy in farming is achieved by modern technical solutions, and the cost of these solutions is not as high as one might think in relation to the benefits they bring.
At the „interAG“ exhibition „What you sow... 2025“ demonstrated not only solutions for manure management, but also how waste can be made into a tangible benefit.
First and foremost, there are separators and separation-pasteurisation stations from the Austrian company BAUER, which have already been installed on a number of Lithuanian livestock farms. This equipment not only produces high quality bedding for cattle bedding, but also completely handles the overflow of manure/ slurry tanks, lagoons, and the liquid fraction is either fed to biogas plants, which produce both electricity and heat, or discharged/injected into the fields.
The only liquid fraction spreader of its kind of its kind, the „Agrometer SDS 8000“ (Denmark) was on show, which, thanks to its lighter weight compared to slurry trucks, has no problem entering wet soil and can be used to spread the fertiliser over distances of up to 10 kilometres with hoses.
It is also interesting that German ANNABURGER transport equipment is finally available for Lithuanian farms, from trailers and manure spreaders to slurry wagons and tankers.
One of these trailers, with a capacity of around 29 m³, was on display at the exhibition between pavilions II and III.
Many of these news were told to UAB „interAG“ by the director of UAB „interAG“, Ugnius Stančiauskas. So we have no doubt that you will enjoy this report too.
