Why have senior citizens made quad bikes so popular? How does this relate to demographics? (VIDEO)
Lithuania is among the countries with one of the lowest birth rates in the European Union, and it seems there is no one to halt this trend.
The most absurd proposals for boosting the birth rate are emerging from the corridors of power. One of them is to bring back youth discos, known as ‘dainyklos’, similar to the evening dances for the elderly. This, they claim, will help young people meet each other and, in the long run, the birth rate will rise.
Why are we heading towards the extinction of our nation, and what can be done to at least halt these catastrophic trends? These issues are discussed in a traditional interview with “Agrobitė” editor-in-chief Gediminas Stanišauskas and “Agrobond” director, entrepreneur and public figure Valdemaras Jacikas.
They will also answer questions you’ve asked in previous episodes. Enjoy the programme. Please comment, like and subscribe to the free “Agrobitė play” channel so that your friends and acquaintances can join the discussion too.
