An agricultural company operating in the Pakruojis district lost close to 100 livestock in a fire on Thursday.

At 11 a.m., it was reported that the building of an agricultural company in the Rozalimas municipality, in the village of Derveli, on Draumėnai Street, was on fire.

„It is known that about 70 calves, 23 calves were burnt, and extinguishing works are underway“, – Vita Makauskaitė-Uzialė, a spokeswoman of the Fire and Rescue Department, told Elta.

When firefighters arrived, the roof was burning in open flames.

At 11.43 a.m. the fire was localised and a large force of firefighters was working at the site

The Pakruojis, Šiauliai Fire Rescue Forces were dispatched to the scene. The information about the event was transmitted to the Šiauliai Ambulance Station.
