Radviliškis District will process alfalfa grown by local farmers

Radviliskis district municipality is entering a period of significant change – hundreds of millions of euros will be invested in the district in the coming years, creating almost 400 new jobs for its residents. 

This burst of investment shows the attractiveness of the district and its determination to become one of the fastest growing regions in Lithuania. From state-of-the-art factories and farming complexes to a world-class museum and the renovation of a school unlike any other in the country, the new projects reflect the municipality's strategic approach to economic growth, infrastructure development and social responsibility.

Economic benefits will be reaped by the district and its people

Radviliskis District Municipality has received enquiries from Radviliskis citizens about the biggest investments planned in our district and how many new jobs will be created in the near future.

According to the Mayor of Radviliskis District Municipality Kazimieras Račkauskis, the contracts with investors, the plans they have presented and the construction works that are already underway make it possible to confidently state that almost 400 new jobs will be created in Radviliskis District in the coming years. However, this is not the end of the story, as negotiations with other investors are also actively underway, and it is expected that this list will be enriched with new investment projects.

Račkauskis.  

Modern cow farm complex under construction in Sparta

On 18 June last year, the construction of Europe's most modern cow farm complex „Ateities ūkis“ began in the village of Miežaičiai. 

„Agrokoncerno“ group of companies is going to invest 78 million euros and create 50 jobs in the largest and most modern cow farm complex in Europe, which is planned to raise about 10,000 cattle. 

Construction is now well underway and is expected to be completed in spring 2026.  

150 new jobs to be created in Sheduwa

UAB „JPackaging“ is building a factory in the municipality of Radviliškis district, near the town of Šeduva, which will use sawn timber for pallets and pallet collars. 

This will involve an investment of €20 million and create 150 new jobs. Work has already started and the electricity grid is currently being relocated. 

In order to attract investors, the Radviliškis District Municipality has committed to contributing to the creation of the necessary infrastructure for business, and the Ministry of Economy and Innovation has signed an agreement with UAB „JPackaging“, which gives the factory the status of a major investment project. 

World-class museum to open this year

In August this year, the world-class museum „Missing Shtetl“, which is being built by the Šeduva Jewish Memorial Foundation, will open in Šeduva, with an investment of around €100 million. 

The museum being built in Seduva is an international project that is already being talked about around the world. As soon as it was conceived, it was already included in the prestigious list of European memorial sites, which includes the Holocaust Memorial Information Centre in Berlin. 

Šeduva Gymnasium will become a model for Lithuania

Private investors have pledged to renovate the Šeduva Gymnasium, which will become the most modern school in Lithuania. 

The investors have agreed to provide around €12 million to renovate the school, which will be used to refurbish all areas of the school, classrooms, furniture, ventilation systems, install lifts for the disabled, buy two new minibuses and construct a new building next to the primary school. 

An agreement has already been signed with the investors, and work is now well underway and is expected to be completed by the autumn of this year. 

Processing of alfalfa grown by local farmers

Agricultural cooperative „Radviliškio aruodas“ together with Saudi investors will build a feed mill in the Radviliškis region to process alfalfa grown by local farmers. 

The investors have already bought a plot of land near Radviliskis for this purpose, and the necessary land formalities are currently being processed. The planned investment will amount to around €6 million and create around 30 new jobs. 

Construction is planned to start this year. A very similar factory, „Golden fields“, was recently opened in the industrial zone of Joniskis, so you can imagine what the future factory in Radviliškis will look like. 

Construction of the factory near Baisogala will start this year

On 3 June last year, an investment agreement was signed with German military industry giant Rheinmetall for the construction of a munitions factory in Lithuania. 

The plant, which will produce 155 mm ammunition compliant with NATO standards, is expected to involve an investment of more than EUR 180 million and will create at least 150 new jobs. 

The factory, which will start construction this spring, will be located in the Radviliškis district, near the town of Baisogala.
