"Kverneland press breaks world record in Sweden

Kverneland stop kadras.

Agricultural machinery manufacturer „Kverneland“ has announced that it has set a new world record by baling and wrapping 1,587 bales in 24 hours without stopping, using 1,020 tonnes of silage. The record itself was set in Sweden this summer.

For the world record, „Kverneland“ used a „Fast Bale Premium“ baler/wrapper combination. The Fast Bale is a so-called non-stop baler, similar to the „Krone“ Ultima baler. The tractor used to achieve the record was a „Fendt 724 Vario“.

In 24 hours, the machine covered 105 hectares and 76 ulons of film were used to wrap the bales. Interestingly, the 1 ,000 bale limit was reached after 14 hours of work. Why only 587 rolls were compressed in the remaining time is not explained by the producer. After all, another 724 bales could have been pressed in the same amount of time.

The company „Kverneland“ is part of the „Kubota Group“.
