A man preparing for hunting in the Šakiai region fired a pellet gun and wounded another man.

As reported by the Police Department, the accident occurred on Wednesday evening.

Around 9 p.m. A 41-year-old man was brought to Šakiai hospital from Lukšių, Šakiai district, at 21:35. He was later transported and admitted to Kaunas Hospital for treatment.

The victim was injured by a 53-year-old man. While preparing for hunting, he suddenly fired a legally held shotgun „CZ 600 ERGO“.

The suspect was questioned. Pre-trial investigation for minor bodily injury opened.
