A man is shot after hunting in the Rokiškis district.

As reported by the Police Department, the accident took place on Monday evening, around 10 p.m., in a forest near the town of Salos.

After hunting, a 52-year-old man, while fixing his "Blazer R8" rifle, fired and injured a 41-year-old man who was standing nearby.

The victim was hospitalised. A case of non-serious bodily injury has been filed.

Whoever maims or injures a person, if as a result the victim has lost a small part of his/her professional or general working capacity or has suffered a prolonged illness, shall be punished by restriction of liberty or arrest, or by imprisonment for up to three years.
