A hunter is killed in Zarasai district
A car carrying hunters overturned and ran off the road in Zarasai district. A man was killed in the accident.
According to the Police Department, on Saturday at about 13:00, a car was hit by a car on the road. 20 min. In Zarasai district, near the village of Suvėnai, a car „GAZ 66“, driven by a sober citizen born in 1968, ran off the road and overturned.
The car was driven by 12 hunters in total. A person born in 1954 was killed in the accident. The driver and two other citizens were also injured and taken to hospital.
For their part, the Utena District Police informs that the car was driven by members of the Zarasai District Hunting Club. Police officers are currently working at the scene. The number of injured persons and the number of occupants of the car are still being clarified.
