An unusual event was recorded on Friday morning in Šlienava (Kaunas district). A 40-year-old man reportedly caused a breach of public order in the church of the village of Šlienava around 8 a.m.

„He behaved in an inadequate and aggressive manner, threw away the church's inventory, threw burning candles, threatened to set the building on fire, and, while displaying a knife, threatened the police, and during the arrest jumped out of the second-floor window,“, “ said the police report.

The man was given medical assistance. He was admitted to Kaunas hospital.

Church ministers are still determining the loss. A pre-trial investigation has been opened.
