Latvia has increased beer production by 9% this year and reduced consumption by 3.5%.

Latvia produced 10.08 million litres of beer in the first two months of the year, 9% more than in January and February last year, according to the State Revenue Service.

Exports of beer grew by 36.3% to 6.243 million litres, while imports of the beverage rose by 38.7% to 15.342 million litres.

Beer consumption in Latvia (retail sales volumes) decreased by 3.5% to 14.782 million litres.

In 2023, Latvia's beer production decreased by 15.1% to 74.106 million litres and consumption by 6.2% to 123.102 million litres.
