Latvia produced 49.902 million litres of beer during the first seven months of this year, up 3.6% compared to the same period last year, the State Revenue Service said, citing excise duty collection data.

Exports of the beverage grew by 13.4% to 39.023 million litres, while imports rose by 10.7% to 74.872 million litres.

Beer consumption in Latvia (retail sales volumes) increased by 3.4% to 79.951 million litres.

In 2023, Latvia's beer production decreased by 15.1% to 74.106 million litres and consumption by 6.2% to 123.102 million litres.
