Latvia produced 61.129 million litres of beer in the first three quarters of this year, up 0.9% compared to the same period last year, the State Revenue Service has announced on the basis of excise duty collection data.

Exports of the beverage rose by 8.1% to 49.740 million litres, while imports rose by 11.4% to 95.839 million litres.

Beer consumption in Latvia (retail sales) increased by 3.0% to 102,042 million litres.

In 2023, Latvia reduced beer production by 15.1% to 74.106 million litres and consumption by 6.2% to 123.102 million litres.
