Latvia's exports of food, agricultural and fish products increased by 4.1% to €4.96 billion in 2023 compared to the previous year, the Ministry of Agriculture has announced.

This would account for 23.7% of Latvia's total merchandise exports.

In contrast, Latvia's imports of food, agricultural and fish products increased at a faster pace last year, up 11.9% to €5.101 billion (22% of total imports of goods).

Other EU Member States accounted for 57% of total exports and 81% of imports last year.

Compared to 2022, their exports to the EU grew by 4 per cent and imports from the EU by 12 per cent.
