The Ministry of Agriculture (MAA) has instructed the National Paying Agency (NPA) to start paying area and livestock-related advance payments from 16 October.

Following the submission of information on eligible areas to the NMA, the MAA has already calculated the amounts of the advance payments under the direct payment interventions of the Strategic Plan (SP) for Agriculture and Rural Development 2023–2027 (i.e. The Commission has already calculated the total number of measures under the SPD rural development interventions (i.e. the basic payment, young farmers, redistribution, coupled support, organic schemes), as well as under the SPD rural development interventions "Areas with natural or other specific handicaps" and "Organic farming". This year, as last year, advances under direct payment interventions will not exceed 70% of the amount of the payment, and under rural development interventions 85% of the amount of the payment.
