Ukrainian soldiers who destroyed the occupying forces thank Lithuanian farmers
Antanas Kliunka, the head of the mission "Soldiers for Soldiers", brought to Lithuania from Ukraine, which is trying to defend itself from the invaders, thank-you notes signed by Ukrainian soldiers for the drones and all-terrain vehicles bought for them by our country's farmers.
A .Kliunka admits that there is a feeling of support fatigue, but there are still loyal Ukrainian supporters among Lithuanian farmers.
„We are back from Ukraine, we have brought 4 SUVs and three reconnaissance drones. A „Mitsubishi L200“ bought by the Lithuanian Grain Growers Association went to Toreck, Pokrovsk front – for very young drone soldiers. Their commander, Alexei, leads three platoons of UAV operators," Kliunka told Agrobitei.
The Russian occupiers started attacking the Ukrainian city of Toretsk (with a population of around 90,000 before the war began) on 19 June 2024 and have now almost completely occupied it.
It took the Russians more than a year. So this just reaffirms how important it is for the Ukrainians to get as much support as possible in the form of drones and other combat equipment.
Ausrys Macijauskas, the former head of the Lithuanian Grain Growers Association (LGAA), and farmer Virginijus Čėsna have again organised the levy in Lithuania in recent weeks and months, according to Kliunka.
„I brought back to Lithuania thank-you notes signed by Ukrainian servicemen and army T-shirts“, – added A. Kliunka.
All farmers who purchased a „Mavic 3“ reconnaissance drone were presented with signed thank-you notes from the drone operators by the Ukrainian troops of the „Soldiers-for-Soldiers“ mission, which will be handed over to the farmers.
The efforts of Mr Macijauskas and Mr Chesna are highlighted, but also the thanks to the farmer Alfredas Bardauskas.
The mission „Kariai-kariams“ would like to express its sincere gratitude to all the farmers who have contributed to the provision of aid to the Ukrainians, in a large or small amount.
