Dairy trading market "Global Dairy Trade" (GDT) index was almost unchanged in the last trading session, rising only 0.1% to 1086 points.

This means that more positive news for dairy producers is not yet available – the GDT index is not showing the long-awaited breakthrough.

Dairy prices in the Oceania area have been stagnant for some time. Since January, the GDT index has been hovering between 1060 and 1080 points.

Cheddar cheese (-8.5%), Mozzarella (-3.8%) and butter (-1.4%) fell sharply in the last trading session.

The dairy market is owned by the New Zealand agricultural cooperative „Fonterra“.

The trend in the Oceania area will reach Europe in about 1.5-2 months.
