Talk about Eiridas Dambrauskas is not only among Kėdainiai carvers. His trophies and dedication to fishing amaze even hardened fishermen. E. Dambrauskas, who lives in Kėdainiai, spends a lot of time by the water with his fishing rods, just like every summer. The young man concentrates on carp fishing. And his latest catch was even very impressive: 3 carp more beautiful than each other.

Sleepless night

Eiridas said that one ordinary weekend he decided to go fishing. He chose a pond near Kėdainiai for fishing.

„When he arrived at the pond, it was raining heavily, the sky was mixing with the ground, so he had to wait for it to clear. As soon as the weather cleared, I tried to cast my rods as soon as possible and start my fishing session, as I was watching the weather conditions and I could see another storm coming. As expected, the storm came up and lightning started to strike, making the weather conditions really difficult for fishing. During the storm I was watching the water body, there were signs of fish activity – which gave me hope“, – said the carp angler.

Three impressive carp

At midnight, the storm ended and, an hour later. At about 1 a.m., the first bite came – the fisherman pulled the fish ashore.

„The carp weighed 8 kilos, it was very angry, I had to work until I got it to the so-called rake. After the first carp was pulled out, it was quiet and calm for a few hours – the fish let me sleep. At dawn, around 4 o'clock, the same rod with which I had already pulled the carp moved. This catch was much bigger – a 13 kg scaly carp. I put the carp in a storage bag to take nice photos in the morning. I put the rod back on and, before 5 minutes had passed, I was walking towards the tent when the same rod again signalled a bite. I was surprised, with the last third carp, the fight was the shortest – about 5 minutes. When I got closer to the shore, I saw that it was a much smaller carp – a fish weighing 11.600“, – Eiridas recalled one of the most impressive moments of his fishing.

It should be remembered that all trophies are released by the angler.
