More than 11,000 tonnes – that's the amount of chicken eaten by shoppers every year, according to the Lithuanian supermarket chain. Last year, 2023, was a record year, reaching unprecedented heights – in total, last year, shoppers bought around 12,500 tonnes of poultry meat. With sales of the much-loved chicken continuing to rise, the supermarket chain has shared tips to help ensure the quality of fresh poultry outside the store and explain why it is worth choosing antibiotic-free poultry meat.

„In the first half of this year, we sold 6% more chicken than in the same period last year. As we see demand increasing, we are constantly striving to guarantee our customers the highest quality and the opportunity to buy it at a lower price every week. Shoppers will always find a special price or other special offers on chicken and chicken products in the weekly publication," says I. Trakimaitė-Šeškuvienė.

According to the supermarket chain, demand for chicken continues to grow throughout the year.
