Potatoes, milk and meat are the most expensive

The Government Data Agency has announced that Lithuanian industrial output prices increased by 0.3% year-on-year in December compared to December 2023 and by 0.5% month-on-month in December compared to November 2023.

Excluding petroleum products, output prices increased by 1.6% year-on-year and by 0.4% month-on-month&ndash.

The overall price change was mainly influenced by an increase in the prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning (2.1%) and a decrease in the prices of fabricated metal products other than machinery and equipment (0.3%).

Product prices sold on the Lithuanian market increased by 1.1% month-on-month, excluding petroleum products by 0.9%, while year-on-year they decreased by 0.3% and increased by 0.7% respectively. Textiles increased the most by – 1.3% –

Food products increased by 0.5%, including processed and canned potatoes by 5.1%, milk and cheese by 3.3%, meat and poultry products – 2.9%, but ice cream – 6.1%, processed and manufactured coffee and tea – 3.7%, starch and starch products – 3.3%

Product prices on the non-Lithuanian market, both including and excluding petroleum products, remained almost stable on a monthly basis, rising by 0.8% and 2.3% on an annual basis, respectively, on the euro-area market alone by 0.2% on a monthly basis and 0.9% on an annual basis, and in the non-euro area by a decrease of 0.1% and an increase of 0.7%, respectively.
