Photography exhibition "Lithuanian Animals and Birds" opens at LSMU Veterinary Academy
On 7 November, a unique photography exhibition „Lithuanian animals and birds“ will be opened at the Veterinary Academy of LSMU (Tilžės g. 18, Kaunas), organised by photo club „Myliu Tėviškę. The members of the club are amateur photographers who have come together in the group „Myliu Tėviškę" on the social network of the same name, Myliu Tėviškę", and are active in promoting the importance of Lithuania as a land of beautiful landscapes, unique heritage, and hard-working people.
The opening of the exhibition will be attended by the women's vocal ensemble "Ramunėlė" from Joniškės.
This time they will present photographs of our country's animals and birds, reflecting the diversity of rural fauna and its relationship with people.
The conceptual leader of the photography club is Virgilijus Navalinskas, a well-known Lithuanian photographer from Pasvalys district. Along with his work, the works of Aldona Ramanauskienė (Kupiškis district), Kęstutis Udras (Utena district), Algimantas Pečiukaitis (Molėtai), Stefania Grigaliūnienė (Joniškis), Viktoras Ačo (Klaipėda district), Gražina Degutytė-Pitrėnienė (Rokiškis district) and Viktoras Ačo (Klaipėda district) will be shown.), Leonas Nekrašas (Šiauliai), Arūnas Raudonius (Mažeikiai), Kristina Ggrigaliūnaitė (Joniškis), Renata Nevulytė (Pasvalys), Irena Berštiienė (Šiauliai), Valentina Baltuškienė (Rokiškis r.), and Antanas Untydi (Šiauliai r.).
All of these authors love Lithuania immensely, having been born and raised close to rural people, and therefore know, not by hearsay, what the people of the regions live for. It is the moments they have captured that have captivated even professional photographers on many occasions.
The first exhibition of the Czech Republic "Myliu Tėviškę" series, sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania, was held not only in Vilnius, but also in smaller towns and villages.
This time the exhibition „Lithuanian Animals and Birds“ is also visiting various parts of our country, so it will be available to more than one visitor in the regions.
The sponsor of the exhibition is once again the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Lithuania.
