"Rokiškio sūris acquires its own shares for EUR 6 million

One of the largest dairy processing companies in Lithuania Rokiškio sūris has acquired 2.7 million its own shares, representing 7.6% of the company's share capital, for EUR 5.996 million, the company said on Friday via the Vilnius Stock Exchange (NASDAQ).  

In addition to the treasury shares acquired earlier, the company will hold 3.6 million treasury shares, representing 10 per cent of the company's authorised capital.

A reserve of EUR 17.15 million has been created for the acquisition of treasury shares.

In mid-April, it was announced that a strategic investor, the world's largest dairy exporter, „Fonterra“ from New Zealand, which had a 10% stake in „Rokiškio sūris“, had withdrawn from „Rokiškio sūris“.

„Rokiškio sūris“ shares are listed on the Official List of the Stock Exchange.
