There is no good news for dairy producers so far, with the GDT index down 2.8%.
The index of the dairy trading platform "Global Dairy Trade" fell by as much as 2.8% to 1055 points in the last trading session.
This is the third trading session in a row that the GDT index has declined.
In the last trading session, the price of skimmed milk meal (SMP) declined the most (4.8%). The price of lactose (4.4%) and wholemeal milk meal (WMP) (4.2%) also decreased.
Cheddar cheese (1.9%), butter (1.4%) and Mozzarella cheese (1.0%) also decreased.
GDT's trading platform is operated by the New Zealand cooperative "Fonterra". Trends in the Oceania area will reach Europe in about 1.5-2 months.
