Data agency: annual inflation in Lithuania - 3.7% in September

Compared to September this year and last year, the advance estimate of annual inflation based on the Harmonised Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) is 3.7%, according to the State Data Agency.

The most significant year-on-year increase (17.7%) was recorded for coffee, tea and cocoa. Gas, spirits (9.6%) and holiday trips (9.5%) increased by 10.4%.

Catering services in restaurants, cafes and similar establishments rose by 6.8%, meat and meat products by 4.9%, fuels and lubricants by 3.8%, milk and milk products, cheese and eggs by 5.6%.

Electricity (14%), audio-visual reception, recording and reproduction equipment (8.3%), motor vehicles (4.8%) and other financial services n.e.c. (4.3%) were also cheaper at the same time.

The HICP is calculated according to a methodology harmonised at EU level.
