Latvia has reduced beer production by 1% this year and increased consumption by 4%.

 Latvia produced 23.883 million litres of beer in the first four months of this year, down 1% year-on-year, the State Revenue Service said, citing excise duty collection data.

Exports of the drink fell 46.7% to 10.962 million litres, while imports fell 24.7% to 28.136 million litres.

While beer consumption in Latvia (retail sales volumes) increased by 3.9% to 36.258 million litres.

In 2024, Latvia reduced beer production by 0.3%, increased exports by 5.1%, imports by 7.7% and consumption by 2.9%.
