Latvia produced 5.003 million litres of beer in the first month of the year, 0.1% more than in January last year, the State Revenue Service reports. Exports grew by 37.7% to 4.211 million litres and imports by 29.8% to 6.846 million litres.

Beer consumption in Latvia (retail sales volumes) fell by 4.5% to 7.058 million litres. In 2023, Latvia reduced beer production by 15.1% to 74.106 million litres and consumption by 6.2% to 123.102 million litres.
