A message from farmers in the Kaunas district to the whole of Lithuania (VIDEO)
The Kaunas District Farmers’ Summer Gathering brought farmers together for a traditional event at the Zalensai campsite. The farmers discussed current issues in agriculture, took part in sports, socialised and shared their concerns and hopes for the future.
Mindaugas Maciulevičius, chairman of the Kaunas District Farmers’ Union, says that farmers are united by a love for their work, their homeland and a sense of community, without which it is impossible to overcome today’s challenges.
“Agrobitė Play” The team visited this farmers’ gathering and captured not only moments from the event but also heartfelt conversations with its participants. We spoke to farmers, Žilvinas Zinkevičius, the parish priest of Šiluva, Laimonas Daukšas, a representative of the hunting community, and Eglė Juozapavičienė, a community leader.
