Lithuanian killed in collision with tractor in Latvia

Lithuanian police report a tragic accident in neighbouring Latvia. According to Lithuanian officials, on 5 December, at around 13:30, a traffic accident occurred on the A11 road in Latvia, in the South Kurzeme municipality, Rucava municipality. It involved a Ford car and a tractor and trailer.

"The driver of the „Ford“ car – a citizen of the Republic of Lithuania was killed in the accident, while the driver of the tractor was taken to a medical institution for his injuries. The police have opened a pre-trial investigation and are investigating the exact causes of the accident," the Lithuanian police profile said.

Lithuanian National Police are appealing for witnesses of the accident who can provide useful information for the investigation, or video footage from the car's video recorders.
