Utena Meat truck transporting livestock involved in a traffic accident near Ukmerge

On Friday morning, a truck carrying livestock was involved in a traffic accident. The rear tyre of the tractor is reported to have burst at the exit from Ukmergė, towards Vydiškės. Several police crews arrived at the scene and traffic was closed in one direction.

Witnesses to the incident say that a transhipment of livestock had started, but it is not clear exactly how many cattle were in the tractor.

It is also unclear why the tyre of the tractor burst. „Agrobite“ has contacted UAB „Biovela-Utenos mėsa“ for a comment to clarify the circumstances of the event. As soon as we receive a reply from the company, we will update the text.
