Nestlé is selling its vitamins, minerals and supplements business for US$1 billion

Swiss food industry giant “Nestlé” announced on Tuesday that it is selling its core vitamins, minerals and dietary supplements business to the US private equity firm “Yellow Wood Partners” for US$1 billion (€0.86 billion).

A statement released by “Nestlé” states that this deal will allow the company to focus its resources on areas where it has its “strongest competitive advantage”.

CEO Philipp Navratil described the move in the statement as “another important step in the strategic restructuring of our portfolio”.

The sale covers Nestlé’s consumer-facing vitamins, minerals and food supplements business.

“Nestlé” stated that it continues to hold a strong position in the premium segment of this category, but that operations in the core segment, which is aimed at everyday consumers, “requires a different approach under separate ownership”.

Subject to regulatory approval, the transaction is expected to be completed by the first half of 2027, the statement said.

In 2025, this business generated sales of US$1.2 billion. It operates primarily in the United States, but also in other countries, including Canada and China.
