Positive signs: more tractors and trailers registered in Poland in July
The Polish Chamber of Agricultural Machinery and Equipment (PIGMiUR) informs that the number of new tractors registered in July this year is higher than in July last year and June this year. Among other things, it also reports an increase in sales of used machinery.
In July this year, 712 new tractors were registered in Poland, 17 units more than in the same month a year ago. However, since the beginning of the year, a total of 4 574 tractors have been registered, or 1 021 fewer than in the same period last year. Overall, the market contracted by 18.2%.
In June this year, 585 new tractors were registered, compared to 518 in May. The second month of growth is encouraging for machinery dealers.
Some experts explain that this could be the end of the crisis, while others believe it could be a seasonal recovery, with farmers investing in machinery after harvest. After all, farms had to harvest slightly earlier than usual this year.
Interestingly, a similar upward trend is being observed in the new trailer market.
The most popular tractor brands in Poland this year are „John Deere“ (693 new tractors registered since the beginning of the year, or a market share of 15.2%), „Kubota“ (558 units, or a market share of 12.1%), and „New Holland“ (548 units, or a market share of 12%).
The trailer market is dominated by „Pronar“, „Metal-Fach“ and „Metaltech“.
