"Tractor of The Year competition expands format with new judging categories

The world's most prestigious „Tractor of The Year“ competition is changing its format slightly with new categories in which the winners will be announced.

The organisers of the competition have announced the news themselves. From now on, the winners will be announced in even more categories, which will only make the competition more interesting and dynamic.

„TotY HighPower“ category is for tractors with more than 300 hp. The aim is to recognise the increasing importance of high power tractors in modern farming practices and to highlight their crucial role in improving efficiency, effectiveness and sustainability.

„TotY MidPower“ category is for tractors between 150 and 280 hp. Tractors in this range offer a unique balance of power, versatility and efficiency.

„TotY Utility“ category awards tractors with power ranging from 70 to 150 hp and a maximum operating weight of 9,000 kilograms.

„TotY Specialized“ category focuses on garden, vineyard and mountain tractors. Tractors with more than 40 hp.

„TOTYBot“ category focuses only on tractors available on the European market with a 3-point linkage, without cab, without PTO or electric power take-off, with a minimum technical readiness level (TRL) of 8. This means that the tractor must be mass produced.

"TotY Sustainable" The tractor category encourages innovation and highlights the agricultural industry's efforts to provide environmentally friendly tractors. Five tractors selected from the š above š categories and shortlisted in the š categories will go forward to the "Toty Sustainable“ evaluation category.
