The last of the bean harvest is now being transported to the elevators
This year's weather conditions have not been kind to pulses either. According to farmers, in some areas, heavy rainfall immediately after sowing has made the soil soggy. In some places, winds and torrential rains broke the stems of bean plants. This led to a significant loss of beans and a loss of quality.
Pest damage is also visible. So this year's bean yield is 2 – 3.5 t/ha, almost half the average.
