The prohibition to place the plant protection product Mavrik on the market is lifted

The State Plant Protection Service under the Ministry of Agriculture (hereinafter referred to as the "Plant Protection Service") has suspended the placing on the market of the plant protection product Mavrik 5 L (batch No. 23031009420821) with effect from 10 December 2024. The decision was taken on the basis of the results of tests carried out by an accredited laboratory, which showed that the product is inhomogeneous and therefore does not meet the quality characteristics of the plant protection product Mavrik 5 L registered in Lithuania.

Accredited laboratory in Austria has informed that it has carried out repeated tests on the plant protection product Mavrik (batch No 23031009420821) and has found that the composition and the physico-chemical and chemical properties of the product comply with the requirements laid down.

Agriculture Authority, having evaluated the results of the re-testing of the plant protection product Mavrik 5 L, has revoked the decision to prohibit the placing on the market of the plant protection product Mavrik 5 L (batch No: 23031009420821), adopted on 10 December 2024.The users of the product from the batch in question may use it as normal in accordance with the requirements specified on the label.It should also be noted that the product must be shaken thoroughly before the package is opened.

Remember that Mavrik – is a contact-acting insecticide for the control of biting and sucking pests in a wide range of crops: winter and summer cereal and oilseed rape fields, peas, beans, potatoes, carrots, apple trees, pear trees, sugar and fodder beet, beetroot, cauliflower, cabbage, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, linseed, ornamentals and even spruce tree seedlings.
