Around 1,000 trees have been felled and stolen in the Trakai district

On Tuesday, reports were received in the Trakai district regarding trees that had been felled and stolen, according to the Vilnius County Police.

On 9 June, the Vilnius County Police Headquarters received a report from a man (born in 1979) stating that between 23 November 2025 and 10 March 2026, in the village of Jurgioniai, Aukštadvario parish, Trakai district, approximately 500–1,000 trees had been felled and stolen. The exact loss is being determined.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Article 178(1) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Lithuania.
