Marijampolė County Chief Police Commissariat reports that a man's body was found on ice on a lake in Šakiai district on Monday.

„Around 5 p.m. 49 min. The body of a man (born in 1945) was found on the ice of the lake in the village of Plieniškės, near the shore, with no external signs of violence, – officials report. 

A pre-trial investigation has been opened to determine the cause of death.
