The army found a woman who had been lost in the woods for almost three days

On Thursday, the Lithuanian Armed Forces found a woman in the forests of Kazlų Rūda who had left her home on Sunday and had not returned. The soldiers found the woman after a search lasting just under a day, during which drones were also deployed; she has been handed over to medical staff.

Agrobitė reports that the 74-year-old woman had gone into the woods to pick berries.

According to the army, the victim left her home for the Kazlų Rūda woods on Sunday, and from Wednesday a platoon of soldiers from the Birutė Uhlan Battalion, on duty with the Peacetime Tasks Force, was deployed to search for her.
