We paid more for the cheapest food in October
A basket of the cheapest food products in Lithuanian shops in October cost 1.3% (EUR 0.83) more than a month ago and 1% (EUR 0.68) more than a year ago, according to the latest analysis of the price tracking portal pricer.lt, published on Tuesday.
This October, the basket appreciated by 21.95% (€12.11) compared to October 2021, the portal said. 
In October, the cheapest basket was at „Maxima“ – 59.63 euro (1.61 euro in a month), followed by „Barbora“ – 61,97 euro (€1,65), „Lidl“ – 62,65 euro (€0,92), „Norfa“ – 64,87 euro (€1,13), „e. Rimi“ – 66,87 (brango 2,18 euro), „Iki“ – 71,8 euro (brango 2,61 euro), „Rimi“ – 72,25 euro (brango 0,41 euro), „Last Mile“ – 78,08 euro (brango 2,21 euro),  ,
Popular and well-known products saw their average basket prices increase by 2.2% (€1.26) over the month and by 4.7% (€2.65) over the year.
Of the 52 products monitored by pricer.lt, 31 increased in price and 18 decreased in price. The prices of three other goods were stable.
