An ultralight aircraft crashed in the Radviliskis district on Thursday afternoon. Kazimieras Masilionis, a prominent farmer from Radviliskis district, died in the crash. The other occupant of the plane suffered injuries.
The fact that Masilionis died in the crash was confirmed by the Mayor of Radviliškis District Municipality, Kazimieras Račkauskis.
After 3 p.m., a report was received that a plane had crashed in the village of Rokonii.
„Rescue equipment was used because the victims were trapped. There was no fire“, – he told Elta.
The plane was deformed, he said.
The pilot was pronounced dead and the female passenger was taken to a medical facility.
