Kormotech factory construction starts in Kėdainiai district

A symbolic event on Thursday will mark the construction of another factory in the Kėdainiai region by Ukrainian dog and cat food manufacturer „Kormotech“.

Continuing its expansion in Lithuania, the company will construct a 19.5 thousand sqm administrative, warehousing and production building on an 8.9 hectare site in the Kėdainiai district.

With the opening of another plant, it is estimated that the production of wet dog and cat food will increase from 22,000 tonnes to 60,000 tonnes per year.

The opening of the new plant is expected to create 200 new jobs.The company's first plant in the Kėdainiai district will open in 2020. 

„Kormotech“ is Ukraine's largest dog and cat food producer, ranking among the world's top 50 animal food producers. „Kormotech“ has an annual turnover of €152 million and 1,350 employees.

The company produces „CLUB 4 PAWS“, „My love“, „Delickcious“ and the super-premium „Optimeal“ dog and cat foods, as well as private label pet food products for retail chains worldwide.
