Man burnt while extinguishing a grain dryer

A fire broke out in a grain dryer in the village of Dūdai (Ignalina district). According to the Fire Protection and Rescue Department (PAGD), the fire broke out on Thursday at around 9.22 a.m.

Smoke was billowing from the grain dryer when firefighters arrived.

„The fire burnt 1 tonne of grain and charred the metal grain dryer. A man was burnt while extinguishing the fire, and the medics who arrived provided on-site assistance, but did not take him to a medical institution," the PRT informed.

The causes of the fire are being investigated.
