Wind was blowing down trees and drowning cities (VIDEO)
On Sunday afternoon, a mass of heavy rain and strong winds began to sweep across Lithuania. In various regions of Lithuania, residents recorded fallen trees, in some places even removing tree barriers from the road themselves.
Suliai is floating, and in Kaunas district, even the beginnings of a tornado have been recorded.
At 21:00, the epicentre of the cyclone was near Šiauliai, although the centre of the vortex was visible closer to Panevėžys.
The Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service has warned that very heavy rain (50-79 mm in the next 12 hours) is expected in many parts of northern and eastern Lithuania during the night from Sunday to Monday.
