Russian drone strike kills 13 000 pigs in Kharkiv region
About 13,000 pigs were burnt and died in Ukraine's Kharkiv region when a pig complex was attacked by Russian combat drones, Ukraine's state emergency service said.
The aggressor state is deliberately sending drones into Ukraine, targeting civilian infrastructure, from public buildings to businesses.
In this case, a pig complex was attacked. The attack caused a major fire. As many as eight pig farms, covering a total area of 13,600 square metres, caught fire.
One worker was injured in the incident. 32 rescuers and 9 technical units of the State Rescue Service, including pyrotechnicians and a community rescuer, were deployed to deal with the damage.
